In August one of our clients in the UK came to us and asked for the urgent requirement to migrate from SalesforceIQ to Sales Cloud. He said they were subject to the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation. As a result, they instantly need to migrate from SalesforceIQ to Sales Cloud. So we gathered our teams and started moving all crucial data from their SalesforceIQ in order to migrate to Sales Cloud. In less than one month, the complete job of data migration was achieved and they successfully upgraded to Sales Cloud. And of course, the support from Comelite Cloud has always been there for them 24/7 and till today, we are working with their team to maximize their Salesforce experience.
Also, in the past 6 months, we worked with multiple companies in Europe and recently another one in the US. This time also the job was regarding migrating their SalesforceIQ data and upgrade to Sales Cloud and as always, we guided our clients so that they can get the most out of their Sales Cloud solution.
Sales Cloud capabilities are numerous, particularly because it can be integrated with many other platforms. It is a new world and we are working with our clients closely to enhance and grow their business.
A common problem all these companies were facing was that they were not aware of the migration process and needed to know how to start it. So, in order to simplify the process for you, I want to share a few tips and quick steps on what you should do and consider before starting the migration process:
First of all, ask yourself: Is your business ready to migrate to Sales Cloud? I knew a financial company that decided to migrate to Sales Cloud after Salesforce London Tour in 2016 but they were too small and still, SalesforceIQ fulfilled all their needs. On the other hand, they also wanted to invest on a marketing automation tool (of course both options needed a little investment) thus, we suggested them to upgrade to SalesforceIQ the next year. In 2017 they had 2 offices, one in London and another in Sheffield. They had started working with Pardot and once again we helped them migrate from SalesforceIQ to Sales Cloud and seamlessly integrate it with Pardot. Simply put, they made the best decision to invest and move to a new technology at the right time.
Second, make a mapping list and features from SalesforceIQ to Sales Cloud. You should always be aware which features and actions in SalesforceIQ CRM work in Sales Cloud. A list in SalesforceIQ CRM acts the same as an object in Sales Cloud. A list in SalesforceIQ CRM is a collection of contacts or accounts representing a business process, such as a sales pipeline or list of prospective accounts. Here are a few more of the most important terms you should be aware of for mapping out the features:
